Bodhisattva Statue Inaugurated by Buddhists on Mount Wutai

An inauguration ceremony for the Bodhisattva statue and 500 Buddhist Arhats was held today on Mount Wutai, a sacred Buddhist mountain in northern Shanxi Province, to mark the birthday of the Bodhisattva.

Buddhists from all over the country, including Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as Thailand, attended today's ceremony.

The statue of the Bodhisattva, personifying supreme wisdom and patron deity of Mount Wutai, is housed in the Shuxiang Monastery ...
