Video Game "Opium War" to Go on Sale

The video game of "Opium War" will hit Chinese and overseas markets in mid-June to celebrate Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

China's first video game that depicts an anti-invasion event in modern times was developed by the Optical Memory National Engineering Research Center of Qinghua University. "Opium War" is aimed at teaching players about China's humiliating history of the Opium War and inspiring patriotic spirit among Chinese.
