Namibia Issues Development Plan for Walvis Bay

Namibia today announced plans to make the Walvis Bay port on the Atlantic Ocean modern and competitive among the 12 countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

Minister of Trade and Industry Hidipo Hamutenya told the press that the government is considering making part of Walvis Bay a free port, the Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA) reported.
