Roundup: Yugoslavia Returning to International Community

With more and more countries granting Yugoslavia diplomatic
recognition these days, Belgrade is striding to the international
community which has shunned it over the past five years.
Germany resumed full diplomatic ties with Yugoslavia Wednesday by
agreeing to promote its charge d'affaires in Belgrade to the rank of
ambassador. "With recognition by Germany and other European Union
countries, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia has come a step nearer
to the international community," German Foreign Minister Klaus
Kinkel
said in Bonn Wednesday.
