Falconer's new look at the sport of kings ; Initiative to find bird experts of future

A NEW course in falconry is set to take off in the Black Country in a bid to find bird experts of the future.

Falcons and hawks will come under the spotlight in the course at Dudley College led by falconer William Pinchers.

Mr Pinchers, from Coseley, has been keen on falconry for 24 years and has turned his hobby into a career.

Now he is running college courses to teach students about the history and heritage of the former sport of kings.

Mr Pinchers, aged 43, said that students would be meeting birds and absorbing a wealth of knowledge about falconry.
