Full steam ahead for NZ frigate

GERARD CAMPBELL joins the crew of the Royal New Zealand Navy's
first Anzac-class frigate, the $470 million HMNZS Te Kaha, during the
ship's southern sojourn. Ukers is not a game for landlubbers. Its
history can be traced back to the days of Napoleon, but it remains
something of a right of passage among those still finding their naval
sea legs.
This explains my involvement in the ludo-like pastime in the
officers wardroom on the Royal New Zealand Navy's first Anzac-class
frigate, the $470 million HMNZS Te Kaha.
We are somewhere between Lyttelton and Wellington, the frigate
cutting its way ...
