A fine time is guaranteed for all at the public Expo Day which begins the World Merino Conference at the Christchurch Convention Centre on Sunday.

At no charge, visitors can experience a programme ranging from sheep shearing and competitions to fashion parades.

On show throughout will be exhibits ranging from sheep farming displays to handcrafts and agricultural products and services. Several spot draws will be held, with prizes including heli-skiing and farm-stay packages. The programme opens with a humorous look at New Zealand sheep farming by the city's Court Jesters.
