BOLSTERED by new models, Peugeot New Zealand is looking to lift
sales of the oldest French carmaker to 1000 a year, against 600 in
1998.
Keen pricing is expected to be a key to success, along with
improvements to the big selling mid-sized Peugeot 406 and Corolla-
sized 306.
These facelifted models are on sale, with the availability in the
406 of a new direct injection diesel engine likely to spark a revival
in the passenger car diesel market.
