MAKE it 99 straight defeats for Quixall Crossett, the world's all- time losing racehorse.

The 16-year-old gelding, so famous that he has his own website, failed to finish a three-mile (4800m) jumps race at the Scottish course of Kelso.

Trained in north England by pig farmer Ted Caine, Quixall Crossett was a 200-1 shot in a field of nine in the Isle of Skye Novices' Chase, won by 2-9 favourite Lord Of The Sky.

Trailing the field for most of the way, Quixall Crossett was well behind when his rider decided to pull him up.
