Mix of young and old horses suggests healthy breeding
|
It is a case of something new, several things nearly new, and
little to make the market blue for the 1997 Canterbury breeding
season.
Younger horses such as The Jogger, Doctor David, Colonel Collins,
and King's Gambit are making their way in the breeding world, while
older proven horses such as Crested Wave, Racing is Fun, Waikiki
Star, Hereward the Wake, and Trustful will appeal to breeders looking
for more security.
The new kid on the block is Fly ing Pegasus, an exciting prospect
on paper and, according to Robert Moriarty of Manorshire Stud near
