Convicted killer impresses Sir Robert

PROMINENT property investor Sir Robert Jones met convicted murderer David Bain this week -- and came away impressed. The three- hour visit to Christchurch's Paparua Prison on Wednesday was with Bain supporter Joe Karam.

Sir Robert said the public perception of David Bain was of someone who was "a bit odd or nerdy" -- which was enough to convince most people he was guilty.
