Kin of donor near victory on park name ; City panel says restore `Albert.'

After months of searching, speaking and prodding, Kurt Albert is
one step closer to restoring his family's name on a city park.
On Thursday night, members of the Columbia Parks and Recreation
Commission voted 4-1 to restore the original name of Albert-Oakland
Park to what is now called Oakland Park.
The matter involves a 20-acre donation that the Albert family
made to the city to establish a park bearing the name of Albert's
grandmother. This land became C.M. Albert Memorial Park, in exchange
for the family's donation.
