LACONIA - Norma L. Whitten, 59, of Summer Street, died Thursday,
July 24, 2008, at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Mrs. Whitten was born Sept. 22, 1948, in Franklin, the daughter
of Norman I. and Flora O. (Fogarty) Cheney.
She lived most of her life in Laconia and was formerly employed
at the Laconia Salvation Army.
Mrs. Whitten was a very active member of the Laconia Salvation
Army. She was a member of the Road Runners and enjoyed collecting
lighthouses.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Donald Whitten of
Laconia; two sons, Christopher Whitten and Chad Whitten, both of
