As the new series of Dragons' Den hit our screens last night, two Somerset mums proved that you don't always need to do a deal with the "dragons" to succeed in business.

Helen Wooldridge and Polly Marsh appeared on the last series of the programme with their Cuddledry baby bath towel, secured three offers of investment - then turned them all down.

The entrepreneurs, whose business is based in Nether Stowey, have had no reason to regret their decision.

Cuddledry has sold 30 per cent more than expected in its first year.
