Disease prevention is way to go

We all know the adage: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Research! America, a national organization that advocates for research funding, has data to show we believe it. Results of a poll reveal overwhelming support for efforts directed toward disease prevention. Survey respondents identified preventable injury and disease as public health priorities. More than 70 percent felt that the 1 cent of every U.S. research dollar that goes toward prevention was far too little.
