City sees drop in violent crimes
|
PICO RIVERA - What's not happening in the city has officials and
sheriff's representatives celebrating.
No murders have occurred in Pico Rivera in more than six months,
since Dec. 28. Over the past 10 years, the city has seen six to 15
homicides annually.
"It's absolutely good news," Mayor Ron Beilke said.
Last year, there were eight murders in the city, down from 11 in
2006.
