Monkscroft headteacher shuts doors of school for the last time

The last books and desks have been packed up by teachers at Monkscroft Primary School.

Pupils left for the final time last week, two years after a schools adjudicator ruled it would have to close because of falling rolls.

Headteacher Len Morris and his staff have spent the past few days arranging for school equipment to be collected by other schools and organisations.

Mr Morris said he was sad to be leaving after seven years at the helm.
