Families can take part in a Tudor sports day at Ford Green Hall.

The event is being staged between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday, July 6, at the Smallthorne museum. Visitors can win the heart and the hand of a fair maiden by demonstrating their sporting prowess. Activities include the chance to try your hand at archery, falconry, period music and dancing.

There will also be a hog roast and traditional ice cream on offer.
