A LECTURER whose choice of university has come back to haunt him is warning others to steer clear of unaccredited institutions.

Logan Muller, a computing and IT lecturer at Auckland's Unitec polytechnic, spent $15,000 and more than three years working towards his PhD in sustainable business. It was awarded in 2005.
