searching for bigger and better sharks to dive with. And this year,
the great hammerhead is the hottest ticket in the shark world. Divers
sometimes come into contact with its smaller cousin, the scalloped
hammerhead, which grows to an impressive eight feet and is found in
large schools. By contrast, the great hammerhead (Sphyrna mokarran)
is a solitary alpha predator, sometimes reaching more than 18 feet in
length.
