Gold in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, the
imperial Xiaoling Mausoleum, the burial site of the Ming Dynasty's
(1368-1644) founding emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, represents the paramount
craftsmanship of Chinese mausoleums and set a pattern for over 20
emperors' mausoleums in the following 500 years.
