A perpendicular paradise

O ne OF the great by-products of the WMN's new Great Westcountry Journeys series is that the journeys in question are for the most part capable of conveying passengers to somewhere eminently walkable. And with no journey is this more the case than at the termination of the extraordinary open top bus ride that takes you from Minehead to Lynmouth.

You can read about that great journey in next Wednesday's WMN, but I couldn't resist describing the quick two-hour walk we enjoyed between alighting at Lynmouth and jumping on the next 300 service back.
