Ascension day - and all is well
|
Preparations are under way in Bisley to celebrate Ascension Day.
Children from Bisley Blue Coat CofE Primary will march through
the streets with flowers for their well-dressing tomorrow.
The tradition was started in 1863 by the Rev Thomas Keble,
Bisley's vicar for almost 50 years, to give thanks for the village's
pure water.
"Ascension Day is such a wonderful celebration in the busy life
of Bisley school," said headteacher Sam Porter.
