Bigs, Littles bond at Pennyroyal
|
SPRINGBORO -- The sports rivalry runs deep between Springboro and
Franklin high schools, but teens from both schools have looked past
the rivalry in the name of helping others.
Every Wednesday afternoon at Pennyroyal Elementary in Franklin,
teens from Springboro and Franklin High Schools work together as
"Bigs" in Big Brothers and Sisters' School-Based Mentoring program.
The program has been in place at Pennyroyal for more than five
years, and its afternoon time allows the opportunity for high school
students from both districts to be "Bigs" (currently, Big Brothers
and Sisters of Warren and ...
