Rescuers ready to fly to 'quake zone

Search and rescue teams from Gloucestershire are on stand-by to help earthquake victims in China.

RAPID UK and SARAID are two of the disaster response groups with people and equipment ready to fly to the country, which was hit by a 7.9 magnitude quake on Monday.

So far the Chinese Government has told the two teams it needs international aid, but not foreign rescue teams, and no visas are being issued.
