'Bareback' opens Dance Center season

The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago's 2006-07 season
opens with Bareback Into the Sunset on Thursday at the Dance Center
in the South Loop.
The dance is about a gay man as he struggles to find his place
within the shifting landscape of the AIDS pandemic. The characters
include an ill patient (played by writer/choreographer and Dance
Center faculty member Peter Carpenter), who catalogs memories from
disparate sources, including childhood horseback riding and
experiences in Chicago's gay bar scene. The program also features an
