Put pop culture in its place
|
My mother always told me that you are what you eat, and I took
this advice very seriously. I made sure not to eat anything too
weird, in fear that I might begin to look like a certain food. As I
grew up though, I quickly realized that what you eat isn't the only
thing that makes up who you are; in fact, what really influences you
is much deeper.
I've come to the conclusion that you are what you are exposed to,
and when I look at what I am exposed to the most, I always think of
pop cult...
