Franco-Spanish giants battle for control of Cameroonian port

YAOUNDE, April 4 (Xinhua) -- France's Bollore Group and the Spanish giant Progosa are involved in a court battle over the management of Douala Port of Cameroon, the main gateway to the greater Central African region, Cameroonian judicial sources have said.

The whole issue began some time in 2003, when Bollore, already well-established in Cameroon, won a concession to run the Douala container port for a period of 15 years in partnership with Denmark's Maersk, one judicial source said Thursday.
