Cote d'Ivoire's opposition parties welcome Soro's appointment as
PM
ABIDJAN, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Cote d'Ivoire's opposition alliance
known as Group 7 (G7) has welcomed the appointment of Guillaume Soro,
chief of the New Forces (FN) rebel group as prime minister.
"The G7 is profoundly satisfied with the appointment of Soro
Kigbafori Guillaume as prime minister of Cote d'Ivoire," according to
a statement published on Thursday by the group that brings together
major opposition political parties and the New Forces (FN) rebels.
