Kuomintang invites outgoing chairman to take honorary post
BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) -- The Central Standing Committee of the
Kuomintang (KMT) in Taiwan adopted a motion Wednesday to invite
chairman Lien Chan to serve as the party's honorary chairman after
his resignation, according to the official website of the party.
The motion, adopted at a regular meeting of the committee, will be
submitted to the upcoming 17th National Congress of the party for
approval.
