New model indicates chaos in early solar system: scientists
LOS ANGELES, May 25 (Xinhua) -- A rapid migration of the giant
planets after a long period of stability can explain why our solar
system turned out the way it did, according to a new model developed
by scientists from the US, France and Brazil.
This computing model indicates a period of chaos in the history of
solar system, scientists said on Wednesday. They published three
papers in the May 26 issue of journal Nature, tackling seemingly
unrelated planetary phenomena.
