CHAMBER SINGERS GET HELPING HANDS FOR CHRISTMAS

When Paul Mesner, of Kansas City, Mo., was 12 years old, his
parents found him a class in puppetry.
"I became that teacher's apprentice for the next six years,"
Mesner said.
His instructor, Lee Ridge, told him about Puppeteers of America, a
national organization for puppeteers.
That was 35 years ago when he was living in Lincoln, Neb.
When Mesner was 19, he started doing puppetry as a living.
Mesner is joining forces with Jane Iverson and the Cheyenne
Chamber Singers for the choral group's Nov. 19 performance, the
second of its 14th season, "Concert II, 'Not Just for Kids'."
