ability to come through under pressure.
That the team could play was not in doubt. But could it win close
matches?
Yes, it could. In fact, Mira Costa couldn't lose this year.
Mira Costa completed the first perfect season in its history
Thursday at 24-0 overall, including 10-0 in the Bay League.
"We've had some really good seasons, but this beats them all,"
Coach Bob Timberlake said. "We've been steadily on the increase, but
not this good."
Mira Costa finished the season with two non-league wins against
