Culver City falls flat in 1st round

It was a disappointing end to a satisfying season.
Agoura knocked off Culver City, 31-7, in a CIF Division IV first-
round playoff game on Friday night at Culver City. Agoura hosts Rio
Mesa in the CIF Division IV quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 26.
Culver City (7-4) was the Pioneer League champion last year and
impressed many with its second-place finish in the Ocean League this
season.
"At the beginning of the year no one gave us much hope of
anything," Culver City coach Tom Salter said. "I was really proud of
the kids."
