The man behind the magic of Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place is the man who's been there from the beginning. That would be the 91- years-young Tony De Santis, who has brought first-class, affordable family theater/dinner theater to the Chicago area for nearly five decades. Whether it was Drury Lane Evergreen Park, Drury Lane East (at McCormick Place), the original Drury Lane Water Tower Place (which closed in 1983), Drury Lane North (which later became the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre) or Drury Lane Oak Brook Terrace, De Santis did it, to paraphrase a famous Italian singer, his way.
