Adrian Zamora expected to spend a quiet 13th birthday at home
Thursday, but a Carson sheriff's detective showed up at his door.
In moments, the eighth-grade student from Steven White Middle
School found himself in the back seat of Detective Luis Trejo's
police car.
Their destination wasn't jail, however. It was GameStop in Carson.
"It's super cool," Adrian said after Trejo purchased a PlayStation
Portable video game player and presented it to him.
The gift, along with five games and a backpack, replaced the Sony
PSP that a thug stole from Adrian's hands in a street robbery six
months ago.
