DUI, car chase suspect arrested A suspected drunken driver was in
custody Tuesday following a 50-minute chase that ended in San Pedro
the night before.
Michael Charles Wells, 44, of Long Beach was arrested on suspicion
of driving under the influence, hit-and-rundriving, driving with a
suspended license and a parole violation when the chase ended about
11:30 p.m. Monday, Long Beach police said.
Wells struck two parked vehicles during the chase, which began at
Butler Avenue and 68th Street in north Long Beach shortly before
