Aguilar, Ellen A. -- Passed away peacefully in her bed on May 4,
2002 surrounded by those she loved. Born Ellen Rico on February 12,
1931 in Scottsbluff, NE and moved to California at the age of 11 with
her family. She graduated Valedictorian from Lincoln High School in
Los Angeles. She moved toPasadena after her marriage, raising nine
children while learning computer programming on the job at Cal Tech.
Relocating to Hawthorne 26 years ago, she was an asset to the IT
department of the City of Hawthorne and later TRW. A longtime
