Driven to succeed; Seasoned actress Marcia Rodd makes South Bay debut as `Miss Daily' star

It's another openin', another show for long-time stage and
television actress Marcia Rodd.
Beginning tonight, Rodd is co-starring with Lance E. Nicholsin
Alfred Uhry's chauffeur-driven stage vehicle "Driving Miss Daisy," at
the Hermosa Beach Playhouse. Rodd plays Daisy Werthan, a southern
Jewish matron, set in her ways and ramrod tough, whose son, in the
name of safety for the residents of Atlanta, hires a black chauffeur
named Hoke (played by Nichols), to transport his mother around...
