Halibut bite on the upswing
Danny Wi from Costa Mesa was scouring through the bait on the
Betty G.
"I want the biggest squid I can find," Wi said. "That's how you
get the big ones."
Before long, Wi was hooked up with a nice big halibut on the Betty
G out of Redondo Sportfishing.
"We were in about 70 feet of water off Manhattan Beach when Danny
hooked up," said Betty G skipper Jeff Jessop.
It turned out tobe another nice fish as the Betty G. boated it's
seventh halibut of the day for 13 anglers. Wi's fish weighed in at
16pounds.
