Iranian airliner crashes into mountain; 118 aboard believeddead
KHORRAMABAD, Iran -- An Iranian airliner crashed in dense fog in
western Iran on Tuesday, turning the cloudy skyred with flame and
sending burning debris tumbling down a mountain slope. All 118 on
board were believed dead.
The Iran Air Tours Tupolev Tu-154 crashed at 7:55 a.m. outside the
city of Khorramabad, 230 miles southwest of Tehran, the government
said.
