Highlands Offers Coach Its Men's Job ; Jerry Carrillo is currently at Cochise Community College in Arizona

Cochise (Ariz.) Community College men's basketball coach Jerry
Carrillo appears to be the leading candidate to become the new men's
basketball coach at New Mexico Highlands University, the Journal
learned Friday.
Carrillo -- who has coached the Apaches since 1995, amassing more
than 200 wins at the Douglas school -- has spent the past two days
at the Highlands campus in Las Vegas.
He returned to his Arizona home Friday night with an offer to
coach the Cowboys on the table.
