Instead, she faces a constant battle to take care of her husband
John who has Parkinson's disease
Caring for her husband John with Parkinson's disease is something
Jean McDermid has been doing for more than a decade.
But the 70-year-old from St David's is exhausted by the job and
admits there will come a time when John has to move into full-time
care.
The chair of Devon Link Focus Group, Mrs McDermid and her husband
used to run a nursing home and so she can identify the signs when
someone needs professional care.
