French navy vessel arrives in Libreville for joint maneuvers

LIBREVILLE, March 20 (Xinhua) -- French military vessel " Tonnerre (Thunder)" has arrived here for a brief stopover ahead of a joint exercise involving Gabonese navy forces, local press has reported.

This vessel is actually a projection and command ship, whose mission is essentially crisis management, the projection of mechanized forces on the ground and the implementation of air surveillance and assault against sea and land-based targets, local press reported Wednesday.
