Stow battle to reach county quarter-finals
|
The group matches and quarter-finals for the Gloucestershire
County Cup were held at Cirencester.
Stow Under-nines performed admirably, coming second in their
group and only losing out to a very strong Cirencester A team in the
quarter-final.
For Stow, the group matches started with a sharp awakening as
Minchinhampton ran in a try before Stow got warmed up.
Minchinhampton looked for and took advantage of any opportunity
coming their way.
Stow were scrappy and lost possession in mauls but continuing
pressure resulted in a try before half-time for Kieran Payne.
