"Our coffee is something to crow about." So read the mugs in Timoleon's Restaurant, an unassuming diner on Keene's Main Street.

But let's not stop at the coffee. This is the place to come for generous helpings of old-fashioned comfort food, served by a staff that makes you feel like you're in your aunt's kitchen. Heck, we saw a customer hug her waitress after paying the check. Honest.

We'd even call Timoleon's a throwback, but we have too much respect for the place.

The decor seems to have survived ...
