Skilled workers are hard to find, CBIA survey says?

Register Staff Connecticut businesses are experiencing greater difficulty in finding and hiring a work force suitable for their needs, according to survey results released Wednesday by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association.

In the 2008 Availability of Skilled Workers in Connecticut Survey, business executives said that, as the population of young people in the state declines and baby boomers prepare to retire, the availability of skilled workers has become a critically important issue affecting business growth and productivity.
