After dominating in the paint for most of the game, Matt Connelly helped ensure Medfield's victory with a shot far from the basket.

The senior center finished with 13 points, 23 rebounds, and 8 blocks in the host Warriors' 59-52 win over Hopkinton in a Division 3 South quarterfinal last night.

Connelly hit the biggest shot of the game late in the fourth quarter. After the Hillers had cut the Warrior lead to 54-49 with 1:15 to go, the center buried a long 3-pointer to push the lead to 8 with 50 seconds left.
