Panel stirs controversy giving nod to heliport in East Oakmont
|
The Plum Planning Commission has recommended approval of a
controversial heliport in the borough's East Oakmont section.
The commission earlier this week granted Cherokee Helicopter
Service a conditional use to operate the heliport on Eastern Avenue.
Plum Council is expected to discuss the application during its 7
p.m. meeting on Monday and could vote on it March 10.
Planning Director Greg Bachy said the heliport is proposed as a
