Knights march in honor of Columbus
|
-NEW HAVEN -- Hundreds of Knights of Columbus, with contingents
draped in shades of red, purple and white, honored Italian explorer
Christopher Columbus Sunday, marching proudly past his statue in
Wooster Square Park. Parade watchers sat on their porches and either
stood at curbs or relaxed in lawn chairs, and many snapped
photographs from the sidelines as the procession moved 1.7 miles,
ending at Chapel and Hamilton streets.
